Conference talk

Chloe Scheffe:

Expressive Headlines / Thinking Type

How does typography take on the characteristics of a story? Can it capture a specific voice or evoke a narrative? Can it foreshadow? Surveying a range of editorial design work—from The New York Times Magazine to GQ to Here—this presentation will explore conceptual typography in print. I’ll examine how illustration has informed my typographic sensibility and why expressive typography is essential to effective editorial design.

This talk will take place online, Sunday, July 26, 2020, at 1:00pm (UTC-4), as part of the main Typographics conference schedule. Registration for the conference is free.
